A magnificent Queen Anne style Victorian home located in the NW corner of Carnigie Library Park in Las Vegas. Built in 1881 by Charles W. Wiley, a railroad grading contractor who later became the first Mayor of East Las Vegas in 1888 and he is also credited for bringing in electric street lighting to town.
In 1890 the home was bought by Dr. H.J. Mueller and his wife Zella who lived there for twenty years. It is said that Zella still lives in the house to this day (in ghostly form of course). The story was that Dr. Mueller was very jealous of his wife and only let her out on the widows walk.
